Description
Remarks :
Saltram Saga 40 Built by Skentelbery & Sons in Plymouth, England, this comfortably sea-worthy boat is a well-kept example of a Saltram Saga 40. Its characterful stern is a beautiful feature to this boat.
- Classic blue water yacht designed for live aboard cruising and ocean passages
- Long keel heavy displacement hull of exceptionally strong GRP construction.
- Colin Archer type double-ended hull
- Good condition inside and out.
- Equipped for long distance cruising
This Saltram Saga 40 is set up for a couple to cruise in comfort and safety. She is remarkably sea-kindly - she does not pound to windward, her decks stay dry and downwind she does not corkscrew down the waves. The Aries wind vane steering keeps her on course whatever the strength of the wind. In fact, the harder it blows, the better the Aries operates. Her wide flush decks allow for safe and easy working, deep toe rails add to feeling of security.
She was built to last with no skimping on the weight or quality of structural materials. The heavily laminated GRP hull has a white gelcoat finish. The deck is of 20mm marine ply laid on 50mm x 100mm laminated mahogany deck beams. The ply is glassed over with the laminations taken up to the bulwarks. Teak toe rail capping. Teak rubbing strake, cockpit coamings .
