Description
This Marcel Subrero designed 47ft Ketch was built in France in 1991.
Her current owner purchased her in 2016 and has spent the last two years tirelessly rebuilding her to an exacting standard.
Her steel hull has been fully replated with 4.50mm plates. Her owners have also added a solid-toe rail, heightened the cockpit, built a large aft locker and a solid doghouse; all to improve 'Perception's' comfort and cruising capacity.
Due to a change in circumstances this unique 47ft ketch is now for sale, having completed the full exterior refit, she is sold with a blank interior, offering her new owners the chance to fit her out however they wish.
'Perception' is powered by a Perkins 73hp diesel engine with shaft drive.
During her refit, the engine was lifted out and overhauled.
She has 1400L diesel storage in 2 keel tanks (tanks were cleaned in 2017).
This 47ft Ketch rigged yacht features aluminium main and mizzen masts, both with backstay tensioners and aluminium booms.
She has stainless-steel standing rigging, with two Pro-furl roller furling units, and a spinnaker pole.
The masts were removed in 2014, and all standing and running rigging was replaced. At this time a new inner furler was installed and all mast lights were replaced.
Her sail inventory features: a roller-furling Genoa (170% heavy), spinnaker with snuffer, staysail, mizzen, mizzen staysail, storm sail, and 3x yankees No.1, No.2 and No.3
Her winches are all Barbarossa: 2x primaries, 3x secondaries, 4x mast, 2x mizzen, 2x outhaul winches, and 3x winch handles.
