Oakley is a characterful 57ft traditional stern narrowboat, built in 2005 by Oaktree Narrowboats and Les Wilson. She combines classic craftsmanship with thoughtful practicality, making her a welcoming and capable home afloat. Recently blacked and surveyed in 2025, Oakley will also be issued with a new Boat Safety Certificate upon completion, ensuring complete peace of mind for her next owners.
Powered by a distinctive Beta JD3 engine paired with a PRM gearbox, Oakley offers reliable cruising with a touch of traditional charm. The engine room, complete with a classic Boatman’s Cabin, speaks to her heritage while providing practical functionality. With a flat-bottomed steel hull (10/6/4), spray foam insulation, oak cabin sides, and wooden flooring, she is both solidly constructed and warmly finished inside.
Heating and hot water are well catered for, with a calorifier, immersion, and back boiler feeding into two stoves – a Bubble diesel and a traditional Boatman – creating a cosy atmosphere for year-round cruising. Electrical systems include both 12v and 240v supplies, supported by a Sterling 1800w inverter and a bank of four leisure batteries (new in 2025), alongside a starter battery.
Accommodation is cleverly designed, with four berths in total. A fixed double bed provides comfortable sleeping quarters, while the pull-down double within the Boatman’s Cabin offers additional flexible space. The galley is practical yet welcoming, fitted with a Vanette cooker, Fridgemaster fridge, laminate worktops, and plenty of storage for longer stays aboard. The bathroom features a new Porta Potti toilet, shower, and vanity basin, ensuring comfort and convenience on every journey.
With her recent maintenance, thoughtful specification, and traditional styling, Oakley is ready to welcome new owners aboard. Whether as a full-time home, a weekend retreat, or a vessel for extended adventures, she represents an inviting opportunity to step straight into life on the water.

A boat is not valued on its age. The age of a boat is irrelevant. A boat is valued based on who built the hull? Who fitted the boat out and what type of materials were used (Hard wood or MDF etc) What equipment does the boat have (Bow thruster, generator, inverters etc) These are just a few of the many factors that equate to the correct value of a boat.

BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
