This Kalik 40 is a modern classic with outstanding good looks and a fast ocean passage maker with very long legs. Maintained and largely renewed without cost considerations from mast cap to the heel of the keel. A very experienced and meticulous owner has over the 23 years of ownership brought this Kalik 40 up to a very high standard to facilitate himself and his wife to undertake extended sailing for 2 people sailing comfortably in winds from 5 to 50 knots.
In 2011 the customised mast was dry-painted with all-new running rigging and furling gear together plus a new engine and gearbox fitted. Beneath the waterline the gelcoat was replaced and 5 coats of epoxy added as a preventative measure.
his Kalik 40 benefits from having an immaculate interior. It has been upgraded and improved with new headlining, lights, curtains, cushions and a teak and holly cabin sole - all receiving the owner's attention to detail. All these improvement have all been done to a very high standard.

This vessel is only for sale as the current owner has suffered a collapse in his health, forcing a sale. This Kalic 40 was designed by Gary Mall and designed and built to Lloyds hundred A1 standard. The current owner has maintained and refurbished this vessel to that standard. Improvements include completely new customised and dry, painted mast new rig Including furling gear and running rigging, new engine and drive train (approx 500 hours) largely refurbished teak decks, new hatches throughout, mast step and bilge Webbers, stringers, pipes, wiring and pumps etc replaced. Below the waterline gelcoat grit blasted, gelcoat replaced and as a defensive measure 5 coats of epoxy applied.
Antifoul and anodes replaced spring 2018 plus engine service. Down below the interior looks gorgeous with extensive mahogany finish, the cabin sole is new and is made of teak and holly.
Starting from forepeak, a V berth with an infill piece to make it a double, new cushions and lockers above and below the bunks. Moving aft, heads and shower to port, full-length hanging locker to starboard with small dresser and mirror plus drawers and locker. Moving further aft the saloon is completed in teak veneer, settee extendable into a cosy double with a pin rail bookshelf above, plus drinks cabinet and CD player/radio plus twin speakers. Main stress bulkhead has 2 brass oil lamps, clock and barometer. The table can seat 6 when folded out, starboard side has a single berth. All cushions in the fore peak and saloon are new. Starboard side has a large shelf with TV hidden inside teak locker. The chart table can take a full size yacht sailing chart, instruments starboard side and a good chart locker underneath the folding lid. The vessel will be sold with full charts for the Solent, south coast and the north coast of France down as far as Brest.
