The Hunter Ranger 265 was a success story with over 110 being built. 'Gill Alan' is the popular bilge keel version allowing for the exploration of the shallowest cruising destinations with a draft of only .91m. The Hunter Ranger 265 has fabulous accommodation for its size , sleeping 4 adults and two children. Her headroom is over 6ft and her practical laid out galley and good sized heads guarantees a happy and comfortable cruising base.
She is easy to sail with all lines lead back to the cockpit and she has a self-tacking jib. The Hunter Ranger 265 also has a very high AVS at 140 making her the most stable 26 footer you will ever sail.
The open plan forward double berth gives a very spacious feeling to the whole interior and the saloon with its folding table
provides a great dining and entertaining area. She has been epoxied so her there are no issues with her hull whatsoever.
Her Yanmar 1GM10 10Hp engine is regularly serviced. She benefits from an Eberspacher heating system which will definitely keep the crew happy on out of season trips and those colder English summer nights. 'Gill Alan' has a comfortable large cockpit which is self-draining. She has a manual bilge pump in the cockpit as well as an electric one. The cruising equipment includes a tiller pilot auto helm and receiver. For crew comfort, she has shore power, an Oven with grill and two burners.
Accommodation :
The Hunter Ranger 265 sleeps six. The aft cabinwhich has a large double berth is separate from the saloon . The forward Brittany style open cabin is spacious and gives the interior an open light feel. There are two single saloon berths and a rear aft double cabin. The heads have a manual toilet ,sink and vanity unit and the galley is well laid out with Oven grill and two burners ,a cold box and storage.
