Description
Hershines are highly-esteemed, top-quality motor-yachts - built under US supervision and laid-up by hand with ½-inch, solid GRP, to US Coastguard scantlings & specifications. They are exceptionally sea-kindly and also afford easy handling/manoeuvring. Excellent for blue-water passage-making. Extremely comfortable live-aboards, due to the well-designed accommodation lay-out, including reverse cycle air conditioning throughout. This “Sunbridge” (by a Grand Banks associated designer) is so easily-handled she can be navigated by 2 ‘crew’, or even single-handedly. She was originally custom-designed with chartering in mind, although never used for that purpose – hence the extras over the normal specifications. She is not only exceptionally economical to run, but also has a powerful, though gentle, low-revving engine-torque. This vessel has been a couple’s home for the past 6 years and is most reluctantly for sale - the asking price is professionally-valued as a BARGAIN! The large aft deck can be fully-enclosed during unseasonal weather and fully opening up in the Algarve sun for relaxing and alfresco dining. The decks are wide and well-guarded, leading forward to the electric anchor and windlass. Surveyed in June 2018 - available at cost - no work needed, after a substantial haul-out)
She is located on the border between the Algarve and SW Spain, which offers both, differing cultures, cuisines and beautiful places to visit. The most-convenient (and low-cost) airport is Faro, approx 45minutes away by road, while Seville is around 2hrs30mins distant. Apart from quality car-hirers, there are also air-conditioned buses and a scenic rail-way to the East Algarve river-border. Her non-metric dimensions are: approx 45ft+ length; 13ft beam and 4ft draught – allowing her to enter shallow bays and anchorages, for which she is well-founded. There are myriad, free anchorages and low-cost berth options along the Algarve coast and up the navigable Guadiana river, some 35NM. Marina berth paid to July 2019 including H20 & electricity. Well worth viewing, even for the visit alone. British flag. Bill of Sale to facilitate easy (EU+) re-registration. Viewing and/or sea-trial – by arrangement. Owner available for local, on-going assistance with familiarization advice, and help, if desired. Full documentation, including original engine Owner's Handbook, tax status, etc, on board.
Reasonable - and fair to both parties - offer considered. Optional Euros at prevailing international exchange rate. More photos available on request. If there's any detail not shown, just ask!
