The chance to own An Early Wooden Drascombe Lugger. Built by the Elliott family.
The boat had been stored in a garage and not used for around 17 years prior to the current owner purchasing it in 2022. He started the restoration in the early months of 2023. Around 700hrs have gone into restoring her so far. And plenty of ££££'s. He had planned to keep it, but due to opportunities abroad, he is now looking to sell so she can be used. No corners have been cut. Every inch of the Hull, centre board box, Cockpit area and storage lockers have been restored. Strengthened and replaced were needed. All metal ware has been restored or replaced. Also, there is a few modern additions. Such as - Teak Main Sheet traveller with New Barton T -Track & cart For and Aft Deck Rope Lockers with drains. Strengthening under the decks and side thwarts Centre Board Cheeks and new pivot bolt Included: All floatation - in need of restoring. Trailer - functional but in need of some love. Original sails and Masts - all in an okay condition. Bumpkin will need replacing. Johnston 6hp Long shaft outboard - serviced in November 2024 and not used since. 2 x portable fuel tanks. Small / Large 2 x Anchors. Brand new cover and the original old one. However, There are a few more jobs that will need doing. Remaining work = coats of Varnish / Non Slip and Set Rig Up. Most of the materials to do so would be included. Looking for a quick sale to a lucky owner. She is stored near Plymouth.
